I’m Mark Hansen, a professional drone pilot and visual storyteller with over five years of experience capturing the world from above, from cinematic landscapes to complex commercial operations.
My work bridges creativity and precision. On one side, I specialize in cinematic drone and FPV videography, creating immersive visuals for brands, tourism, and adventure projects across Australia and Europe. On the other, I operate in commercial and industrial drone services, using advanced platforms such as the DJI Matrice M300, M400, and M4T for data-driven fieldwork.
I’ve conducted thermal drone operations for fauna research and environmental monitoring,including projects on Magnetic Island and Lotus Creek, where I supported wildlife teams in spotting koalas and other native fauna with high-resolution thermal sensors.
My experience also extends to security and crowd management, operating drones at Strumming Bird and Spilt Milk festivals, where I worked directly with police and ECC to ensure safety through real-time aerial monitoring using the DJI M4D platform.
Additionally, I’ve carried out LiDAR surveying and mapping for various terrain and environmental projects — combining data accuracy with cinematic attention to detail.
