NSW, Environmental or large area (e.g. map a forest) - Digital Elevation or Digital Surface Model (DEM/DSM)
A recent project with a local surveying firm showcased our ability to partner with other professionals to provide extra resources when needed to complete larger jobs under pressure.
The client was completing a Feature and Level Survey for a 26-hectare site, which included a 600-meter long section of 100km/h road. While the area was expansive and terrain varied, the road section presented specific challenges in safety given the proximity to traffic, and resource demands to measure the terrain and features efficiently.
We partnered closely with the client to deliver a tailored solution using our Aerial LiDAR system. We met the surveyor on site to familiarise ourselves with the control network and place additional ground control. We setup and deployed our LIDAR-equipped drone to survey the entire site in record time. We reduced the need for physical measurements near traffic, enhancing safety and efficiency. We then processed the data into a detailed DTM mesh using our advanced processing techniques, producing a reliable mesh that accurately reflected the elevation and changes of grade on site. We delivered the verified surface mesh before our client had completed their fieldwork, enabling a streamlined workflow from field to office for our client.
This project highlighted the transformative power of Aerial LiDAR and collaboration within the surveying and spatial industry. Unlike other service providers, we don’t just capture data; we understand the needs of surveyors and engineers and provide end-to-end solutions that redefine what’s possible for small businesses.

DJI T100 Clear for Takeoff
CASA has approved the T100 for operation in Australia under the Medium category, just like the T50 and other spray drones. The liquid tank holds up to 100 L and the spreader handles 100 kg. There are no built-in take-off limits or system restrictions in the drone or software. You’ll only see a brief notice on the remote screen if you exceed the MTOW, which disappears automatically. To stay within CASA’s operating guidelines, keep total load to 75 L or kg.
