1. Submit Inquiry - Aside from leaving us a message on the page, feel free to contact us via phone or email with your rental request. Our staff is happy to answer your questions! Think about these questions to help you to recommend the drone that best suits your needs.

2. Receive Quote & Invoice - We will confirm stock availability and send a rental quote along with a proforma invoice.

3. Make Payment - Secure your rental by making the payment, including the refundable safety deposit.

4. Shipment & Tracking - We ship the drone to your location and provide tracking details.

5. Use & Operate - Enjoy your rental for the agreed duration.

6. Return Process - We will arrange the shipment pickup for you! Hassle free, just stay home and someone will come to you. We will provide return shipping instructions and you just have to stick the shipping labels for easy delivery.

7. Inspection & Refund – Upon return and inspection, we process the refundable safety deposit.

1. What do I need or have to prepare for the rental?

• Read the dry hire procedures for what to expect.

• You just have to pay the invoice and provide your details, we will then handle it for you, shipping the drone to your place straight and quick!

2. What to Expect from our side!

Before each shipment, our tester will test fly all the drones, charge the battery back to 50-70% battery level to make sure they stay healthy!

If you are a first time flyer, don’t worry! We will also forward you the video tutorials and detailed instructions. And of course, feel free to call us if you have any questions flying the drone, we will help to set up and troubleshoot.

It would be lovely if you could recharge the batteries to 50% before sending back the batteries! (Tips: Two light signals on the battery indicators)

3. Why is it looking expensive, can I get a lower price?

The cost might look high in the invoice, but that's most because 80% of the total is a refundable safety deposit.

Don’t be scared about it, once the drone is returned and we have inspected it, we quickly initiate the refund process.

There is also a credit card hold option as an alternative to paying the full safety deposit upfront. This lets you secure the drone with a temporary card hold instead of a full payment — making it more affordable upfront. Check the next question for this option!

3.1 How does the credit card hold option work?

Here’s how it works:

1. Tell us you prefer the credit card hold option when confirming your rental.
2. We’ll place a temporary hold on your credit card for 80% of the drone’s value.
3. This hold is not a charge, it simply reserves the funds during the rental period.
4. Once the drone is returned and passes inspection, the hold will be automatically released within a few business days.
5. You’ll still pay the rental fee upfront, but the deposit amount is handled via the hold.

Important: Ensure your card has sufficient available funds before we initiate the hold. We are happy to guide you through the process and

notify you when the hold is placed and released.

3.2 How does the Hull insurance option work?

You now have two options when renting a drone from us:

1. Pay a refundable 80% security deposit, which is returned after the rental.

2. OR choose short-term hull insurance.

If you choose the insurance option:

1. The policy must include hull coverage and list DFH as an Interested Party

2. You’ll need to provide a Certificate of Currency before dispatch.

3. The insurance premium is non-refundable, but frees up your capital.

4. Price Range

The price of rentals varies depending on drone model, check out our page. But for sure, the longer you rent it, the cheaper it is!

You can extend your rentals, contact us and we will update you with the prices.

5. How does it work for Shipping & Returning?

• Estimated delivery times:

• Sydney - Melbourne: 1-2 days

• Sydney - Perth/Darwin: 4-5 days

• Sydney - Brisbane: 2-3 days

• Return Process:

• 2-3 days before return date: We send return shipping labels and instructions.

• 1 day before return date: We confirm pickup and send a tracking link.

• Upon return: We inspect the drone and process your safety deposit refund.

Additional daily fees apply for overdue rentals, so give us a call to extend your rental period!

6. I want more discounts! Am I eligible for any future benefits?

• Hire-to-Purchase: If you decide to buy or take the drone after renting it, a portion, or even full rental fee can be applied toward your purchase, meaning you save the renting cost! 

• Rentals: Long-term rental plans available for businesses. 

• Bulk Rental or Subscription-Based: We offer extra discounts for renting multiple units, or renting for an extended period.

• Loyalty Discounts: If you are a returning or existing customer, hurray! Credits can be applied to rent at a lower price. Upon rental, you also get credits for cheaper future rentals.

7. How does the Hire-to-purchase option work?

If you fall in love with the drone you have rented, we can put your rental fee towards the purchase of the drone!

Here’s how it works:

1. Let us know that you are interested in purchasing the drone when inquiring about the rental. Or, tell us your preference within 14 days after the end of the rental period!
2. We will review the drone and also provide a purchase quote.
3. A portion (or in some cases, the entire rental fee) will be credited toward your purchase, which reduce the purchase cost of the drone effectively.
4. Once we received the payment, we will ship it in no time!

If you see or received a better quote elsewhere, send it through and we will try our best to price match it or offer you other deals!

9. First time using the drones?

We included some tutorial videos to guide you through the setup. But if you are confused or have difficulties using the rental unit, we can arrange a quick setup call or basic training session to get you started!
