Compost Production Facility

QLD, Environmental or large area (e.g. map a forest) - 2D map of a natural environment

Our client requested an orthophoto of their compost facility in far North Queensland. They wanted a recent map of the site to help them deal with material movements. We advised that we could obtain an orthophoto of the site and then print it on an A0 adhesive sheet which could be stuck to a magnetic whiteboard. This would allow magnets with stockpile names and volumes to be placed onto the map therefore allowing a physical tracking method of all of the material on site. The job involved a half day site visit which included, marking site boundaries, determining the lowest elevation that could be flown (a high voltage power line crossed the site), and then two hours of flying. These images where then processed in market leading photogrammetry software Pix4D to produce a high resolution orthophoto of the site. This was then printed on a adhesive A0 sheet and stuck to a magnetic whiteboard. The client was extremely happy with the end result, not only with the quality of the image produced but with the ideas that Ascent Droning had and the overall cost of the job. Total Cost (including printing, magnetic whiteboard and magnets) = $980 Following this job we received another request from the client to do a similar job for a large agricultural area.
