Course 1: T50 and Mavic 3 Workflows for Agricultural operations
This course offers participants a comprehensive guide to establishing best practice workflows for T50 Agras alongside scout or mapping drones.
The 6 hour course will include planning workflows in controller and in DJI Terra, utilising GIS platforms such as Google Earth Pro and QGIS for planning, utilising base layers generated from mapping target areas with mapping drones such as M3E series, introduction to GNSS positioning and controlling data workflows.
The course will be delivered over two 3-hour sessions and include delivered presentation content, case studies and a session that walks participants through their own example area.

For this course, participants will require access to the following:
- DJI T50 Agras aircraft & controller
- Mavic 3 enterprise series drone or DJI RTK enabled drone

Course 2: Comprehensive workshop on advanced multispectral analysis with M3M
This course offers participants a comprehensive guide to understanding multispectral plant reflectance utilising UAV technology.
Over three 2-hour sessions, this course will provide introductions to photogrammetry and multispectral analysis concepts including:
- Setting up precision positioning workflows
- How vegetation indices work and identifying appropriate formulae
- Identifying appropriate workflows,
- Processing data for analytical and agricultural applications and basic analysis techniques.

For this course, participants will require access to the following:
- Mavic 3 Multispectral drone
- Computer or laptop running DJI Terra and Google Earth Pro

Course 3: Advanced drone photogrammetry
This course is designed to provide land managers and new drone users the necessary skills and knowledge to collect appropriate data to generate appropriate land use maps.
Delivered by Firetail Environments, specialist drone operator delivering surveys, plant reflectance and digital elevation models across industry, participants will be proficient in understanding fundamental planning concepts and generating high resolution geo referenced data to produce and work with high resolution maps, crop management and digital elevation models providing key data insight into long term management plans.
The course aims to develop knowledge and skills in:
- Understanding key fundamentals in data acquisition and precision positioning
- Acquisition of high quality map data
- Working with data in Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
- Processing data to create valuable working maps of target areas
- Analysis of mapping and data outputs
- Exporting data for use in operations and planning
- Fee: $810AUD exc GST (or $891 AUD inc GST)

For this course, participants will require access to the following:
- Mapping drone - preferably with RTK
- Map processing software such as DJI Terra, Drone Deploy, Pix4D, WebODM etc.
- GIS software package such as QGIS or similar
- PC or laptop with capacity for drone processing and running GIS software packages
About the educator - Danny
Danny has been using drones in environment and agriculture applications for more than 5 years, he has extensive experience as a technician across a 20 year career including fabrication, performance and event design, project management, lighting engineering and tertiary education.
He has experience in community engagement, education and design across a number of industries, and applies these skills to sustainable and regenerative agriculture, carbon, biodiversity and drone survey & on-ground services and analysis. He is a sought after specialist in UAV operations, particularly in multispectral reflectance and on ground workflow design and implementation.
