Ad Drone is offering an elimination or significant reduction of risk to staff safety, drones can perform asset inspections in hard-to-reach places such as structures where a risk of fall from heights is identified.

Effective use of drones can also facilitate the opportunity to reduce costs associated with working from heights training and human resources.

Drones can survey gutters, roofing, water towers, foot traffic, you name it, with absolute ease. All the while presenting reduced risk – with staff remaining safely on the ground.

Why Drones Can Enhance Your Safety Program
Drones can help make an organization's operations safer in multiple ways.
Planning
Drones are used to improve worksite safety. Aerial drones survey the potential site for safety hazards before the work begins. This helps companies be fully prepared for any challenges, ensuring the protection of their workers.
Many businesses are eagerly embracing these hi-tech changes that can result in long-term cost reductions, increased safety and improved profit margins.

The Benefits
• Quality Aerial Imaging
Drones are excellent for taking high-quality aerial photographs and video, and collecting vast amounts of imaging data
• Precision
Since unmanned aerial vehicles use GPS (the Global Positioning System), they can be programmed and maneuverer accurately to precise locations.
• Easily Deployable
With advances in control technology, most drones can be deployed and operated with relatively minimal experience.

UAVs also have a greater range of movement than manned aircraft. They are able to fly lower and, in more directions, allowing them to easily navigate traditionally hard-to-access areas.
• Security
Another plus to drone use centres on security. With the appropriate license, operators can use unmanned aerial vehicles to provide security and surveillance.

My first drone launch for DHC was done from the wharf. I got the proper authorisations and mananged to film some good footage of the Charles Darwin vessle, the various buildings on the wharf and the faris wheel. The next drone launch was on the Charles Darwin itself. I launched from the sunset deck and although I had checked Willyweather, the seas breses on the boat were certainly not calm. With some quick thinking on my feel on how to battle the winds to get my drone back on board and the help of the captain and the skipper, I got my Mavic 3 back on deck with no incidents. A greast learning curve on this one!
