Comprised of five passionate Hong Kong-based photographers, Beyond Visuals is all about taking things to the next level. Whether it's colourful housing estates, the bountiful nature, or Hong Kong at sundown, these guys know how to make your jaws drop with some of the best aerial, architectural, and landscape photography. Here are just a few of our favs.

Summer Sunsets by Martin Lee/Beyond Visuals

Summer Sunsets

Photographer: Martin Lee (@visualspassport)

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Martin Lee started his drone photography journey in 2017. Lee's undeniable talent and motivation to constantly explore new angles and different lighting conditions has quickly earned him a spot on the Top 20 list of the 'Most Influential Drone Pilots of 2019 and Who to Watch in 2020' on Dronemultimedia. Having worked with a number of hospitality and real estate brands in Hong Kong, Lee strives to push the boundaries of drone photography with every project. Photographer: Blair Sugarman (@blairsugarman1)

If you've ever been on Instagram to look at photos of Hong Kong, we're sure you would have come across Blair Sugarman. Despite being the 'newbie' of the Beyond Visuals team, Sugarman's distinctive photography style, often dressed in a mysterious and alluring tone, perfectly shows off his flair for photography. Whether it's Hong Kong's beautiful skyline from afar or the infamous Sharp Peak lurking beneath the fog, Sugarman does it all with passion – and it clearly shows.

Colourful Storm by William Markezana/Beyond Visuals

Colourful Storm

Photographer: William Markezana (@will_tm)

French photographer William Markezana found his love for photography at a young age, and his passion only grew stronger into cityscape photography after making his first-ever drone purchase. As an aspiring software engineer, Markezana produces some of the most spectacular images with complex angles by bringing a technical aspect into drone photography, mastering the ability to determine the position, focal length, and distance of a specific shot without ever having visited the location. Simply impressive.

Minding the Gap by Bernie Ng/Beyond Visuals

Minding the Gap

Photographer: Bernie Ng (@itsbernie81)

With an inherent fascination for symmetry, repetition, parallel lines, bold colours, and textures, Bernie Ng loves exploring the city in search for the best places that allow him to explore these elements and create strong compositions around it. Inspired by the works of photographers such as Peter Stewart and the late Michael Wolf, Ng makes it his mission to continuously create some of the most unique and striking images. If you want to know more about Ng's photography style, head to his Instagram where Ng often gives fascinating details behind each piece of his work.

The White Blanket by John Huang/Beyond Visuals

The White Blanket

Photographer: John Huang (@jsrpixel)

What first started as a fun, humble snapshot session, led John Huang to explore the world of drone photography and videography in the most innovative ways. Telling stories with each of his captures, Huang's urge to become anything but an ordinary photographer drove him to actively seek for tips and learn the tricks of the trade from fellow photographers. All this accumulated him into becoming a nominee in the 2019 Boston Drone Film Festival in the Urban category with Inversion Hong Kong. Watch it, it'll leave you speechless.
