Reality Capture For The Art Gallery NSW

Reality capture for the Art Gallery NSW of Brett Whiteley’s 1968 iconic sculpture “Almost Once” more commonly known as “The Big Matchsticks” preservation project for condition assessment and to create digital archives. The importance of high resolution and accuracy was paramount in order to capture 30 years of weather and cockatoo damage since its unveiling in 1991. Our team created a high resolution 3D mesh model using Faro Lidar and DGI Global M300 drone utilising a 45 mega pixel camera. One of the many benefits of 3D models is the ability to have all information relevant to that asset stored in one place. This allows for collaboration of contractors/teams and provides transparency to stakeholders. How can we add value to your current or future projects?
