Capturing the Fireworks at ICMS Manly, NSW

I was tasked with filming a fireworks display at the International College of Management, Sydney (ICMS), also known as the 'castle on the hill' in Manly, NSW. The project required both drone and ground-based cameras to create a stunning montage of the iconic building and the fireworks show. The challenge was to avoid grainy, over, or underexposed footage while ensuring smooth operation despite changing wind conditions. To achieve this, I collaborated closely with the pyrotechnics company, meticulously planning the flight paths and understanding the areas for safe flying and explosion zones. This detailed preparation allowed me to anticipate wind shifts and adjust my drone's position accordingly. Despite the nerve-racking nature of the flight, my expertise resulted in spectacular footage. My precision and planning skills were evident in the final montage, showcasing both the grandeur of ICMS and the brilliance of the fireworks display.
