Asset Inspections

With this inspection traditionally being completed a long period (often during a shutdown), requiring a team of rope access contractors and large crane equipment, significant cost savings were achieved by utilising the scout Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS), completing the inspection in gusty conditions in just 45 Minutes. For the 75 metre stack, HD still photos and HD video data were collected. Whilst in-flight, we transmit all data live to the engineering team, allowing for immediate feedback on the progress of the inspection. All imagery and a detailed completion report was provided to the client with defect areas highlighted with suggestions for maintenance and repair. The RPAS and flight crew were highly effective and capable in the demanding conditions (Storm cells and 30kt winds)
